Our History:
The New Brunswick Masonic Charities and Housing Company Ltd. was formed in 1986, with the approval of the Masonic Grand Lodge of New Brunswick. We are a registered charity with the following objectives:
- To construct, maintain and operate low cost housing for seniors
- To provide financial assistance to aid children through support organizations, such as:
- Canadian Cancer Society
- Canadian Deafblind Rubella Association
- Saint John Regional Hospital’s Memorial Playground
- Other child oriented concerns as the Company’s resources will permit
The first New Brunswick camps were held at the YM/YWCA Camp Glenburn on the Belleisle in Kings County. In 1998, the week long camp was relocated to Camp Rotary on Grand Lake. This camp is specifically designed to meet the needs of all the children, complete with qualified counsellors, and a medical team from the Canadian Cancer Society of oncology nurses and physicians.
